Live conscientiously with wood
A communal quarter with residents who maintain a conscientious lifestyle. This is the concept that inspired the developers of the Waidmatt quarter in the canton of Basel. What other building material than wood could be used in such a project. With glulam ceiling elements and beams made of spruce, a timber construction solution was implemented that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of living comfort and also guarantees rapid construction. The aesthetic of the ceiling elements was designed to impart a homely and nature-loving atmosphere.
Construction site logistics at its best
In accordance with the specifications of the construction process, it was necessary to deliver the components exactly to the hour. In order to guarantee the smooth and speedy assembly of the elements, Theurl developed a comprehensive loading and assembly concept. The elements were loaded onto the trailer at the factory in the correct order and ready for assembly. From here they were installed directly without an interim storage solution. The swap trailer remained on the construction site during this process. This allowed us to compensate for unexpected weather-related delays in the construction process even before leaving the factory.
