Our products, our office
Anyone entering the new Theurl office building in Steinfeld immediately gets an impression of the company's products first hand. The modern building’s wooden design doesn’t fail to impress. The company created around 936 m² of office space in order to provide a modern workplace with a convivial atmosphere for its IT and wood construction employees, as well as plant management.
The design was based around a modern office layout featuring the corresponding facilities. Maximum flexibility in the division of space and up-to-date technical features create a work environment that is tailored to the modern professional world. The building has been divided clearly, according to its functions. In addition to office space, the ground floor also houses the reception, as well as dispatch and truck handling. The upper floors boast ample office space. Outsized offices and flexible desk solutions were deliberately avoided for the benefit of the workforce. Each employee has their own spot within a small “team open space”.
Light and ingenious
The three-story building was planned with innovation in mind. Large glass surfaces with vertical slats for shading create an ingenious daylight concept with good lighting conditions. The building’s environmentally friendly planning culminates in the short transport routes from the factory to the construction site. This logistical advantage also contributed to the short construction time of only around six months.
Complex timber substructure
The timber frame construction is essentially based on two components: glued laminated timber supports guarantee the safe vertical load transfer, walls and ceilings made of CLTPLUS oppose them with flat elements that bring mass into the structure. The design employed to install the glass fronts is worth a special look. It consists of bonded glulam. Thanks to some millimetre-precise joinery, the glass profiles could be installed directly on the glued laminated timber. In future, the building will offer every visitor a clear demonstration of the high quality of THEURL’s products.
